What happens if I’m on holiday for one of the modules of the course?
If you cannot attend a module then we can catch up with 1-2-1 training for the more salient points and you can re-take the module with the next year’s intake of students.
What happens if I can’t make one day, but can make the other?
If you can’t make one of the days then where possible we will concentrate more on the theory when you are not in, and more on the practical for a full class.
Is the course fully accredited?
Yes, the course is fully accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). The GHR is (at the time of writing ) the largest governing body of hypnotherapists in the UK. Once you are registered with the GHR, you can then apply for registration to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I’ve never run a business before it all seems a bit scary
We run Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses at a massively discounted rate for our graduates. One of the most popular is marketing and setting up your business.
What about insurance for when I start to practice as a professional hypnotherapist?
We have struck a deal with our insurance brokers and can cover you for 1 year working with members of the public for just £29.95 (at the time of writing).
Is there much coursework?
We have a recommended reading list, and case studies that you are required to do. The GHR ask for a minimum of three case studies, whereas we recommend at least five. These can all be documented and will be added to your total hours of study.
We also ask you to make a record of any relevant videos that you watch, any relevant books that you may read, that are not featured on our recommended lists, etc.. (there will be lots of books recommended to you over the course of the course).
In fact, anything hypnotherapy related - make a note of it, it all counts.
How can I pay my deposit
You can pay by cheque made out to Chris Fleet Ltd.

How do I pay by instalments?
We would take (and destroy once used) your account details and set up a Direct debit with a company called Go Cardless.
We prefer not to use the card machine for these payments as it affects the clinics turnover.
I can take cash or bank transfers, but Direct Debit is our preferred method of payment.
Do I have to be an academic to take the course?
Absolutely not. I started my working life as a hod-carrier (bricklayers labourer) with next to no qualifications to my name. You do however, need to have the desire to want to facilitate a positive change to the lives of others.
Are there any exams?
Yes, there are two sets of tests. The first one is in module 9 when members of the public are invited in to a ‘live’ 30 minute session. This will be assessed by an external examiner.
In module 10 there is a one hour written exam. The exam consists mainly of multiple choice and anything between a sentence and a paragraph in written format.
Exams scare me, can I re-sit them if I go to pieces?
Yes, you can re-sit either the practical or written exam, although there may be a small fee involved (at the time of writing nobody has needed to)
Once I qualify is there any other support?
Yes, we offer both Supervision and Continued Professional Development (CPD) sessions at massively reduced rates for students who have studied with us.
We currently have three ex-students now practising out of The Devon Clinic CIC which is a multi-disciplinary health clinic set up by myself. I am a registered supervisor and CPD provider with the GHR.
